Busy Busy Busy

We have been busy little bees around here and enjoying all that the holidays have to offer! This time last year we were engaged and planning the wedding I don't even remember the holidays at all so we are soaking it all up this year. It has been so fun owning our own home and decorating it all! 

So for Thanksgiving we were invited to 4 different dinners and I was pretty overwhelmed! We decided to ditch them all and spend the day with our combined family. Cam and the boys played football while my mom, Shelby and I made dinner! It was actually a blast and I loved the girl time!  

Since its our first Christmas married we have had to buy all the necessities. Cam was such a hard worker and put the lights up on the house!

We decided to go with a live tree this year [something I have never had] and I am OBSESSED! It was so fun picking it out, and my house smells incredible! It was so fun pulling out all our childhood ornaments and I [of course] went crazy at Target and bought all the cute woodsy ornaments. 

I have started wrapping gifts and of course had to display some under the tree. This year we have Secret Santa with my dad's family, my mom's family, the big annual Gibson Family christmas party, and also one for my work so that means lots of shopping!

We bought an adorable tree skirt and Cam even lifted me up to put the tree topper on. It really was an amazing day. 

I got a little emotional hanging my home made ornament up. I dried out my wedding bouquet and put the petals in an ornament. I also used the lace from my bouquet to wrap around the ornament. I can't believe how fast it has gone by.

After decorating the tree we went to the Emerald Bay Christmas ward party and then got hot cocoa and walked around the temple lights. We ended the night snuggling in front of the tree with some classic Christmas movies.
