Here's a panoramic shot of our living room. I am obsessed with our sectional and so glad we made that investment early on.
I've always wanted shelves in my living room so I can always put up new stuff.{part of my obsession for switching things out}
Our beautiful piano came from Cameron's childhood home and I love that we were able to have it. We both play and want to teach our children as well. Reupholstering the piano bench is on my project list.
The dresser our tv is on was one of our first projects we did together. It used to be black with silver handles, I wanted to brighten it up and add different knobs to it. I blew up our two favorite wedding photos to 20x30. It was the perfect filler for this wall. The sign hanging above the tv is a doily that says Gibson from Cameron's grandmother. It used to be blue with a brown wooden frame. Cameron surprised me by adding fabric and painting the frame to match our house. I'd like to get two little teal or light blue tables to go on either side of the dresser, but that's for another day:)
This little pop out wall is to the right of the tv, and the arch on the right leads to our guest bathroom and 3 bedrooms. We have a split floodplan so the master is on the other end of the house. This nightstand used to be in our bedroom but I thought it was so unbalanced with only one so I refinished it.
The kitchen. The left doors lead to the garage and laundry room. The door on the right is our pantry. My next project I'm going to redo my kitchen cabinets and island. Eeek! I cannot wait. I want the kitchen to have a retro theme so the colors will be turquoise and red. Our house came with all the appliances except for a fridge. We decided to invest in a big nice one now so we don't have to once we have our family.
This is one of my favorite things in our home. We have this chalkboard on the island that we trade off writing messages to each other. Usually it has something to do with an inside joke like this one does here.
Nixon wanted to be in this shot. I love our kitchen table. I have plans to stain it a light robins egg blue color and I'd like to antique it a bit. The table runner is from our wedding.
I am happy with what I have done so far and can't wait til it is finally finished one day. I still haven't painted any walls or finished my decorating but I want to go slowly so I know I won't regret how I choose to do it all. Stay tuned for the rest!
Love your home! It is gorgeous!! :)
